Change of Mind – Full Price Items
We offer exchanges only on full price items within 14 days of receiving your order.
We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases.
To be eligible for exchange, items must be:

Unworn
-
Unwashed
-
In original condition
-
Tags attached
Returns sent outside the 14-day timeframe will not be accepted.
Sale and discounted items are not eligible for exchange unless a size exchange has been approved in writing prior to return.
Change-of-mind returns are not available on sale items.
Return Shipping
Unless Return Cover has been purchased at checkout:

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

Customers are responsible for shipping costs for exchanged items being sent out.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
All returns are sent at the customer’s risk. We strongly recommend tracked shipping. Salty Shreds is not liable for items lost in transit when being returned.
Items must be wrapped or bagged securely to prevent damage in transit. Returns received damaged may be rejected.
Exchange Process
Once your return is received and approved:
A credit code will be issued for use online.

Valid on full price items only

Not valid with other promotions

Must be used in one transaction

Expires after 30 days
Expired credits will not be reinstated.
We do not process exchanges via social media. All requests must be submitted via email or our returns portal.
Orders Placed in Error
Orders made in error are subject to a $19.95 AUD administration fee.
Unclaimed & Returned Orders
Local Pickup Orders
Local pickup orders must be collected within 30 days of notification.
Uncollected orders will be held for a maximum of 90 days from the ready-for-collection date.
If an order remains uncollected after this period and reasonable attempts to contact the customer have been made, it will be treated as abandoned goods.
Salty Shreds reserves the right to cancel, restock, or dispose of abandoned goods.
Returned to Sender – Domestic
If a parcel is returned due to:

Incorrect address supplied

Failure to collect
-
Delivery refusal
It will be held for up to 90 days from the date received back.
Re-shipping will only occur once shipping costs have been paid.
If no response or payment is received within 90 days following reasonable contact attempts, the goods will be considered abandoned.
Salty Shreds reserves the right to restock, cancel, or dispose of abandoned goods.
Returned to Sender – International
International parcels returned due to:

Incorrect or incomplete address

Failure to collect
-
Unpaid customs duties or taxes
Will be held for 30 days from the date received back.
To have the parcel resent, the customer must pay:

All re-shipping costs

A $20 AUD Returned to Sender processing fee
This processing fee covers courier charges incurred when international parcels are returned to us.
If payment is not received within 30 days following reasonable contact attempts, the goods will be considered abandoned.
Salty Shreds reserves the right to restock, cancel, or dispose of abandoned goods.
Customs & Duties
Customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs charges imposed by their country.
Salty Shreds complies with international shipping regulations and will not:

Undervalue items

Mark orders as gifts

Alter customs documentation
Failure to pay customs fees that results in return will fall under the International Returned to Sender policy above.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
Change-of-mind returns are separate from your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
If you believe your item is faulty, not as described, or does not meet consumer guarantees, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order so we can assess the issue promptly.
Items that have been worn, washed, misused, or damaged due to incorrect care may not be eligible for remedy.
Consumer Guarantees (Australian Consumer Law)
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Skateboards & Balance Boards
Boards must be returned within 14 days if approved and must be in original, unused condition.
No returns will be accepted once ridden.
Minor cosmetic variations are expected due to the handmade nature of boards.
Salty Shreds is not liable for injury resulting from misuse. Protective gear and supervision are strongly recommended.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law still apply where relevant.
